Draw Our Hearts to You

Almighty and eternal God,
so draw our hearts to you,
so guide our minds,
so fill our imaginations,
so control our wills,
that we may be wholly yours,
utterly dedicated to you;
and then use us, we pray,
as you will,
and always to your glory and the welfare of your people;
through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Amen.

A Prayer for Peace among the Nations

O Almighty God,
the Father of all humanity,
turn, we pray, the hearts of all peoples and their rulers,
that by the power of your Holy Spirit
peace may be established among the nations
on the foundation of justice, righteousness and truth;
through him who was lifted up on the cross
to draw all people to himself,
your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

God of Love, Give Us Love

O God of love, we ask you to give us love;
love in our thinking, love in our speaking, love in our doing,
and love in the hidden places of our souls;
love of those with whom we find it hard to bear,
and love of those who find it hard to bear with us;
love of those with whom we work,
love of those with whom we take our ease;
that so at length we may dwell with you,
who are eternal love.

A Blessing

May the love of the Lord Jesus
draw us to himself;
May the power of the Lord Jesus
strengthen us in his service;
May the joy of the Lord Jesus
fill our souls.

May the blessing of God almighty,
the Father, the + Son, and the Holy Ghost,
be among you and remain with you always.
