May We See Things Eternal in Heaven

Eric Milner-WhiteAlmighty God, our heavenly Father,
you created us to be immortal,
and you made us an image of your own eternity.
Lift our eyes above the narrow horizons of this present world,
that we may see the things eternal in the heavens,
where you have laid up for us an inheritance
that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

May We Live with You and in You

Eric Milner-WhiteO God,
you are from everlasting to everlasting,
and with you a thousand years are but as yesterday.
Hallow the life you have given to us,
that, living with you in this passing world,
we may live with you, and in you,
to all eternity;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You Have Put Eternity into Our Hearts

Eric Milner-WhiteO God,
the living God,
you have put your own eternity in our hearts,
and have made us to hunger and thirst for you.
Satisfy the instincts you implanted in us,
that we may find you in life,
and life in you;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You Created Us; Lift Our Eyes

O God,

and made him to be
an image of your own eternity.

that we may claim and  attain
our heavenly inheritance by your grace;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.Amen.
