Prepare Our Hearts

Advent 3O merciful God,
you sent your eternal Word
to take on human nature
in the womb of the virgin Mary.
Grant that your chosen people
may put off fleshly desires,
to prepare their hearts
for the visitation of your dear Son,
Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
forever and ever.
Amen.
